Surah 97
القدرAl-Qadr

بِسْمِIn (the) nameاللهِ(of) Allahالرَّحْمَٰنِthe Most Graciousالرَّحِيمِthe Most Merciful
إِنَّآIndeed Weأَنزَلْنَاهُrevealed itفِىinلَيْلَةِ(the) Nightالْقَدْرِ(of) Power
Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree
وَمَآAnd what?أَدْرَاكَcan make you knowمَاwhat?لَيْلَةُ(the) Nightالْقَدْرِ(of) Power (is)
And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree
لَيْلَةُ(The) Nightالْقَدْرِ(of) Powerخَيْرٌ(is) betterمِّنْthanأَلْفِa thousandشَهْرٍmonth(s)
The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months
تَنَزَّلُDescendالْمَلَآئِكَةُthe Angelsوَالرُّوحُand the Spiritفِيهَاthereinبِإِذْنِby (the) permissionرَبِّهِم(of) their Lordمِّنforكُلِّeveryأَمْرٍaffair
The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter
سَلَامٌPeaceهِىَit (is)حَتَّىٰuntilمَطْلَعِ(the) emergenceالْفَجْرِ(of) the dawn
Peace it is until the emergence of dawn
