Surah 82
الإنفطارAl-Infitar

بِسْمِIn (the) nameاللهِ(of) Allahالرَّحْمَٰنِthe Most Graciousالرَّحِيمِthe Most Merciful
إِذَاWhenالسَّمَآءُthe skyانفَطَرَتْ(is) cleft asunder
When the sky breaks apart
وَإِذَاAnd whenالْكَوَاكِبُthe starsانتَثَرَتْscatter
And when the stars fall, scattering
وَإِذَاAnd whenالْبِحَارُthe seasفُجِّرَتْare made to gush forth
And when the seas are erupted
وَإِذَاAnd whenالْقُبُورُthe gravesبُعْثِرَتْare overturned
And when the [contents of] graves are scattered
عَلِمَتْWill knowنَفْسٌa soulمَّاwhatقَدَّمَتْit has sent forthوَأَخَّرَتْand left behind
A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back
يَاأَيُّهَاOالْإِنسَانُman!مَاWhatغَرَّكَhas deceived youبِرَبِّكَconcerning your Lordالْكَرِيمِthe Most Noble
O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous
الَّذِىWhoخَلَقَكَcreated youفَسَوَّاكَthen fashioned youفَعَدَلَكَthen balanced you
Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you
فِىٓInأَىِّwhateverصُورَةٍformمَّاwhatشَآءَHe willedرَكَّبَكَHe assembled you
In whatever form He willed has He assembled you
كَلَّاNay!بَلْButتُكَذِّبُونَyou denyبِالدِّينِthe Judgment
No! But you deny the Recompense
وَإِنَّAnd indeedعَلَيْكُمْover youلَحَافِظِينَ(are) surely guardians
And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers
كِرَامًاNobleكَاتِبِينَrecording
Noble and recording
يَعْلَمُونَThey knowمَاwhateverتَفْعَلُونَyou do
They know whatever you do
إِنَّIndeedالْأَبْرَارَthe righteousلَفِى(will be) surely inنَعِيمٍbliss
Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure
وَإِنَّAnd indeedالْفُجَّارَthe wickedلَفِى(will be) surely inجَحِيمٍHellfire
And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire
يَصْلَوْنَهَاThey will burn (in) itيَوْمَ(on the) Dayالدِّينِ(of) the Judgment
They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense
وَمَاAnd notهُمْtheyعَنْهَاfrom itبِغَائِبِينَ(will be) absent
And never therefrom will they be absent
وَمَآAnd what?أَدْرَاكَcan make you knowمَاwhat?يَوْمُ(is the) Dayالدِّينِ(of) the Judgment
And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense
ثُمَّThenمَآwhat?أَدْرَاكَcan make you knowمَاwhat?يَوْمُ(is the) Dayالدِّينِ(of) the Judgment
Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense
يَوْمَ(The) Dayلَاnotتَمْلِكُwill have powerنَفْسٌa soulلِّنَفْسٍfor a soulشَيْئًاanythingوَالْأَمْرُand the Commandيَوْمَئِذٍthat Dayلِّلّٰهِ(will be) with Allah
It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah
