Surah Al-'Adiyat (The Courser) — word by word with audio

بِسْمِIn (the) nameاللهِ(of) Allahالرَّحْمَٰنِthe Most Graciousالرَّحِيمِthe Most Merciful

وَالْعَادِيَاتِBy the racersضَبْحًاpanting

By the racers, panting

فَالْمُورِيَاتِAnd the producers of sparksقَدْحًاstriking

And the producers of sparks [when] striking

فَالْمُغِيرَاتِAnd the chargersصُبْحًا(at) dawn

And the chargers at dawn

فَأَثَرْنَThen raiseبِهِۦtherebyنَقْعًاdust

Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust

فَوَسَطْنَThen penetrate (in the) centerبِهِۦtherebyجَمْعًاcollectively

Arriving thereby in the center collectively

إِنَّIndeedالْإِنسَانَmankindلِرَبِّهِۦto his Lordلَكَنُودٌ(is) surely ungrateful

Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful

وَإِنَّهُۥAnd indeed heعَلَىٰonذَٰلِكَthatلَشَهِيدٌsurely (is) a witness

And indeed, he is to that a witness

وَإِنَّهُۥAnd indeed heلِحُبِّin (the) loveالْخَيْرِ(of) wealthلَشَدِيدٌ(is) surely intense

And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense

أَفَلَاBut does not?يَعْلَمُhe knowإِذَاwhenبُعْثِرَwill be scatteredمَاwhatفِى(is) inالْقُبُورِthe graves

But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered

وَحُصِّلَAnd is made apparentمَاwhatفِى(is) inالصُّدُورِthe breasts

And that within the breasts is obtained

إِنَّIndeedرَبَّهُمtheir Lordبِهِمْabout themيَوْمَئِذٍthat Dayلَّخَبِيرٌ(is) surely All-Aware

Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted
