Surah 92
الليلAl-Layl

بِسْمِIn (the) nameاللهِ(of) Allahالرَّحْمَٰنِthe Most Graciousالرَّحِيمِthe Most Merciful
وَالَّيْلِBy the nightإِذَاwhenيَغْشَىٰit covers
By the night when it covers
وَالنَّهَارِAnd the dayإِذَاwhenتَجَلَّىit shines in brightness
And [by] the day when it appears
وَمَاAnd He Whoخَلَقَcreatedالذَّكَرَthe maleوَالْأُنثَىٰٓand the female
And [by] He who created the male and female
إِنَّIndeedسَعْيَكُمْyour effortsلَشَتَّىٰ(are) surely diverse
Indeed, your efforts are diverse
فَأَمَّاThen as forمَنْ(him) whoأَعْطَىٰgivesوَاتَّقَىٰand fears
As for he who gives and fears Allah
وَصَدَّقَAnd believesبِالْحُسْنَىin the best
And believes in the best [reward]
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥThen We will ease himلِلْيُسْرَىٰtowards [the] ease
We will ease him toward ease
وَأَمَّاBut as forمَن(him) whoبَخِلَwithholdsوَاسْتَغْنَىand considers himself free from need
But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need
وَكَذَّبَAnd deniesبِالْحُسْنَىthe best
And denies the best [reward]
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥThen We will ease himلِلْعُسْرَىٰtowards [the] difficulty
We will ease him toward difficulty
وَمَاAnd notيُغْنِىwill availعَنْهُhimمَالُهُۥٓhis wealthإِذَاwhenتَرَدَّىhe falls
And what will his wealth avail him when he falls
إِنَّIndeedعَلَيْنَاupon Usلَلْهُدَىٰ(is) the guidance
Indeed, [incumbent] upon Us is guidance
وَإِنَّAnd indeedلَنَاfor Usلَلْآخِرَةَ(is) the Hereafterوَالْأُولَىٰand the first (life)
And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]
فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْSo I warn youنَارًا(of) a Fireتَلَظَّىٰblazing
So I have warned you of a Fire which is blazing
لَاNotيَصْلَاهَآwill burn (in) itإِلَّاexceptالْأَشْقَىthe most wretched
None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched one
الَّذِىThe one whoكَذَّبَdeniedوَتَوَلَّىٰand turned away
Who had denied and turned away
وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَاBut will be removed from itالْأَتْقَىthe righteous
But the righteous one will avoid it
الَّذِىThe one whoيُؤْتِيgivesمَالَهُۥhis wealthيَتَزَكَّىٰ(to) purify himself
[He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself
وَمَاAnd notلِأَحَدٍfor anyoneعِندَهُۥwith himمِنanyنِّعْمَةٍfavorتُجْزَىٰٓto be recompensed
And not [giving] for anyone who has [done him] a favor to be rewarded
إِلَّاExceptابْتِغَآءَseekingوَجْهِ(the) Countenanceرَبِّهِ(of) his Lordالْأَعْلَىٰthe Most High
But only seeking the countenance of his Lord, Most High
وَلَسَوْفَAnd soon surelyيَرْضَىٰhe will be pleased
And he is going to be satisfied
