Surah 64
التغابنAt-Taghabun
The Mutual Disillusion · 18 verses · 241 words
بِسْمِIn (the) nameاللهِ(of) Allahالرَّحْمَٰنِthe Most Graciousالرَّحِيمِthe Most Merciful
يُسَبِّحُGlorifiesلِلّٰهِ[to] Allahمَاwhateverفِى(is) inالسَّمَاوَاتِthe heavensوَمَاand whateverفِى(is) inالْأَرْضِthe earthلَهُFor Himالْمُلْكُ(is the) dominionوَلَهُand for Himالْحَمْدُ(is) the praiseوَهُوَAnd Heعَلَىٰ(is) onكُلِّeveryشَىْءٍthingقَدِيرٌAll-Powerful
Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth is exalting Allah. To Him belongs dominion, and to Him belongs [all] praise, and He is over all things competent
هُوَHeالَّذِى(is) the One Whoخَلَقَكُمْcreated youفَمِنكُمْand among youكَافِرٌ(is) a disbelieverوَمِنكُمand among youمُّؤْمِنٌ(is) a believerوَٱللّٰهُAnd Allahبِمَاof whatتَعْمَلُونَyou doبَصِيرٌ(is) All-Seer
It is He who created you, and among you is the disbeliever, and among you is the believer. And Allah, of what you do, is Seeing
خَلَقَHe createdالسَّمَاوَاتِthe heavensوَالْأَرْضَand the earthبِالْحَقِّwith truthوَصَوَّرَكُمْand He formed youفَأَحْسَنَand made goodصُوَرَكُمْyour formsوَإِلَيْهِand to Himالْمَصِيرُ(is) the final return
He created the heavens and earth in truth and formed you and perfected your forms; and to Him is the [final] destination
يَعْلَمُHe knowsمَاwhatفِى(is) inالسَّمَاوَاتِthe heavensوَالْأَرْضِand the earthوَيَعْلَمُand He knowsمَاwhatتُسِرُّونَyou concealوَمَاand whatتُعْلِنُونَyou declareوَٱللّٰهُAnd Allahعَلِيمٌ(is) All-Knowingبِذَاتِof whatالصُّدُورِ(is in) the breasts
He knows what is within the heavens and earth and knows what you conceal and what you declare. And Allah is Knowing of that within the breasts
أَلَمْHas not?يَأْتِكُمْcome to youنَبَؤُا(the) newsالَّذِينَ(of) those whoكَفَرُواdisbelievedمِنfromقَبْلُbeforeفَذَاقُواSo they tastedوَبَالَ(the bad) consequenceأَمْرِهِمْ(of) their affairوَلَهُمْand for themعَذَابٌ(is) a punishmentأَلِيمٌpainful
Has there not come to you the news of those who disbelieved before? So they tasted the bad consequence of their affair, and they will have a painful punishment
ذَٰلِكَThatبِأَنَّهُۥ(is) becauseكَانَتhadتَّأْتِيهِمْcome to themرُسُلُهُمtheir Messengersبِالْبَيِّنَاتِwith clear proofsفَقَالُوٓاbut they saidأَبَشَرٌShall human beings?يَهْدُونَنَاguide usفَكَفَرُواSo they disbelievedوَتَوَلَّواand turned awayوَّاسْتَغْنَىAnd can do without themاللهُAllahوَٱللّٰهُAnd Allahغَنِىٌّ(is) Self-sufficientحَمِيدٌPraiseworthy
That is because their messengers used to come to them with clear evidences, but they said, "Shall human beings guide us?" and disbelieved and turned away. And Allah dispensed [with them]; and Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy
زَعَمَClaimالَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوٓاdisbelieveأَنthatلَّنneverيُبْعَثُواwill they be raisedقُلْSayبَلَىٰYesوَرَبِّىby my Lordلَتُبْعَثُنَّsurely you will be raisedثُمَّthenلَتُنَبَّؤُنَّsurely you will be informedبِمَاof whatعَمِلْتُمْyou didوَذَٰلِكَAnd thatعَلَىforاللهِAllahيَسِيرٌ(is) easy
Those who disbelieve have claimed that they will never be resurrected. Say, "Yes, by my Lord, you will surely be resurrected; then you will surely be informed of what you did. And that, for Allah, is easy
فَـَٔامِنُواSo believeبِٱللّٰهِin Allahوَرَسُولِهِۦand His Messengerوَالنُّورِand the LightالَّذِىٓwhichأَنزَلْنَاWe have sent downوَٱللّٰهُAnd Allahبِمَاof whatتَعْمَلُونَyou doخَبِيرٌ(is) All-Aware
So believe in Allah and His Messenger and the Qur'an which We have sent down. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do
يَوْمَ(The) DayيَجْمَعُكُمْHe will assemble youلِيَوْمِfor (the) Dayالْجَمْعِ(of) the Assemblyذَٰلِكَthatيَوْمُ(will be the) Dayالتَّغَابُنِ(of) mutual loss and gainوَمَنAnd whoeverيُؤْمِنbelievesبِٱللّٰهِin Allahوَيَعْمَلْand doesصَالِحًاrighteous deedsيُكَفِّرْHe will removeعَنْهُfrom himسَيِّئَاتِهِۦhis evil deedsوَيُدْخِلْهُand He will admit himجَنَّاتٍ(to) Gardensتَجْرِىflowمِنfromتَحْتِهَاunderneath itالْأَنْهَارُthe riversخَالِدِينَabidingفِيهَآthereinأَبَدًاforeverذَٰلِكَThatالْفَوْزُ(is) the successالْعَظِيمُthe great
The Day He will assemble you for the Day of Assembly - that is the Day of Deprivation. And whoever believes in Allah and does righteousness - He will remove from him his misdeeds and admit him to gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. That is the great attainment
وَالَّذِينَBut those whoكَفَرُواdisbelievedوَكَذَّبُواand deniedبِاٰيَاتِنَا[in] Our Versesأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthoseأَصْحَابُ(are the) companionsالنَّارِ(of) the Fireخَالِدِينَabiding foreverفِيهَاthereinوَبِئْسَAnd wretched isالْمَصِيرُthe destination
But the ones who disbelieved and denied Our verses - those are the companions of the Fire, abiding eternally therein; and wretched is the destination
مَآNotأَصَابَstrikesمِنanyمُّصِيبَةٍdisasterإِلَّاexceptبِإِذْنِby (the) permissionاللهِ(of) AllahوَمَنAnd whoeverيُؤْمِنbelievesبِٱللّٰهِin AllahيَهْدِHe guidesقَلْبَهُۥhis heartوَٱللّٰهُAnd Allahبِكُلِّof everyشَىْءٍthingعَلِيمٌ(is) All-Knowing
No disaster strikes except by permission of Allah. And whoever believes in Allah - He will guide his heart. And Allah is Knowing of all things
وَأَطِيعُواSo obeyاللهَAllahوَأَطِيعُواand obeyالرَّسُولَthe Messengerفَإِنbut ifتَوَلَّيْتُمْyou turn awayفَإِنَّمَاthen onlyعَلَىٰuponرَسُولِنَاOur Messengerالْبَلَاغُ(is) the conveyanceالْمُبِينُclear
And obey Allah and obey the Messenger; but if you turn away - then upon Our Messenger is only [the duty of] clear notification
اللهُAllahلَآ(there is) noإِلَٰهَgodإِلَّاexceptهُوَHimوَعَلَىAnd uponاللهِAllahفَلْيَتَوَكَّلِlet put (their) trustالْمُؤْمِنُونَthe believers
Allah - there is no deity except Him. And upon Allah let the believers rely
يَاأَيُّهَاOالَّذِينَ(you) whoاٰمَنُواْbelieve!إِنَّIndeedمِنْfromأَزْوَاجِكُمْyour spousesوَأَوْلَادِكُمْand your childrenعَدُوًّا(are) enemiesلَّكُمْto youفَاحْذَرُوهُمْso beware of themوَإِنBut ifتَعْفُواyou pardonوَتَصْفَحُواand overlookوَتَغْفِرُواand forgiveفَإِنَّthen indeedاللهَAllahغَفُورٌ(is) Oft-ForgivingرَّحِيمٌMost Merciful
O you who have believed, indeed, among your wives and your children are enemies to you, so beware of them. But if you pardon and overlook and forgive - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful
إِنَّمَآOnlyأَمْوَالُكُمْyour wealthوَأَوْلَادُكُمْand your childrenفِتْنَةٌ(are) a trialوَٱللّٰهُand Allahعِندَهُۥٓwith Himأَجْرٌ(is) a rewardعَظِيمٌgreat
Your wealth and your children are but a trial, and Allah has with Him a great reward
فَاتَّقُواSo fearاللهَAllahمَاwhatاسْتَطَعْتُمْyou are ableوَاسْمَعُواand listenوَأَطِيعُواand obeyوَأَنفِقُواand spendخَيْرًا(it is) betterلِّأَنفُسِكُمْfor yourselvesوَمَنAnd whoeverيُوقَis savedشُحَّ(from the) greedinessنَفْسِهِۦ(of) his soulفَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَthen thoseهُمُ[they]الْمُفْلِحُونَ(are) the successful ones
So fear Allah as much as you are able and listen and obey and spend [in the way of Allah]; it is better for your selves. And whoever is protected from the stinginess of his soul - it is those who will be the successful
إِنIfتُقْرِضُواyou loanاللهَ(to) Allahقَرْضًاa loanحَسَنًاgoodlyيُضَاعِفْهُHe will multiply itلَكُمْfor youوَيَغْفِرْand will forgiveلَكُمْyouوَٱللّٰهُAnd Allahشَكُورٌ(is) Most AppreciativeحَلِيمٌMost Forbearing
If you loan Allah a goodly loan, He will multiply it for you and forgive you. And Allah is Most Appreciative and Forbearing
عَالِمُ(The) Knowerالْغَيْبِ(of) the unseenوَالشَّهَادَةِand the witnessedالْعَزِيزُthe All-Mightyالْحَكِيمُthe All-Wise
Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, the Exalted in Might, the Wise
