Surah 107
الماعونAl-Ma'un
The Small kindnesses · 7 verses · 25 words
بِسْمِIn (the) nameاللهِ(of) Allahالرَّحْمَٰنِthe Most Graciousالرَّحِيمِthe Most Merciful
أَرَأَيْتَHave you seen?الَّذِىthe one whoيُكَذِّبُdeniesبِالدِّينِthe Judgment
Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense
فَذَٰلِكَThen thatالَّذِى(is) the one whoيَدُعُّrepulsesالْيَتِيمَthe orphan
For that is the one who drives away the orphan
وَلَاAnd (does) notيَحُضُّfeel the urgeعَلَىٰtoطَعَامِfeedالْمِسْكِينِthe poor
And does not encourage the feeding of the poor
فَوَيْلٌSo woeلِّلْمُصَلِّينَto those who pray
So woe to those who pray
الَّذِينَThose whoهُمْ[they]عَنaboutصَلَاتِهِمْtheir prayersسَاهُونَ(are) neglectful
[But] who are heedless of their prayer
الَّذِينَThose whoهُمْ[they]يُرَآءُونَmake show
Those who make show [of their deeds]
وَيَمْنَعُونَAnd they denyالْمَاعُونَ[the] small kindnesses
And withhold [simple] assistance
